ENDODONTIC THERAPY

Endodontics comprises a wide and very important chapter from dental pathology and refers to the anatomic-functional complex composed of the dental pulp, surrounding dentin and the apical parodont, making a unitary whole.

Clinical signs that impose sustaining a pulpectomy (the removal of the nerve):

- the existence of a deep dental cavity process.

- live pain, spontaneous or provoked, which lasts from a few minutes to several hours.

- the localized nature of the pain.

- sensitiveness to warm, cold, sweet.

A tooth that underwent an endodontic treatment becomes breakable and can fracture, that´s why I recommend final coronary restoration with a dental corona produced in the dental technique laboratory, in favor of an obturation, because a simple obturation can lead to the fracturing of the tooth.
