ORAL SURGERY


  • Dental extraction (temporary tooth extraction, permanent tooth extraction, extraction with separation of the dental roots, extraction through alveotomy, extraction of included wisdom teeth).
  • Apical resection with intra-operation antegrade obturation.
  • Apical resection with retrograde obturation.
  • Radicular amputation.
  • Surgical treatment of marginal chronic parodontopathies .

Indications and post-operation recommendations:

  • the patient is not allowed to cleanse his/her mouth in a vigorously manner for at least 12 hours, in order not to mobilize the intra-alveolar clot.
  • after removing the protection tampons the patient will not suck the alveolar wound in order not to start a new bleeding.
  • stop smoking at least for 24 hours.
  • in the first 48-72 hours the consumption of light foods and beverages is recommended, but NOT alcoholic/acidulated beverages. The straw should not be used.
  • it is recommended to sleep with the head elevated and to avoid physical effort.
  • if the surgical intervention was made at the maxillary sinus level sneezing with the mouth closed is to be avoided in the first 7 days.
  • oral hygiene must be resumed in 24 hours after the surgical intervention. I recommend using mouth wash, but not cleansing in a vigorously manner.
  • respect the medication treatment prescribed by the doctor.
